Daan studied European and International Taxation at the university of Tilburg. He has an international focus in many ways, and lived for instance in San Francisco and the south of France, prior to finishing his study.

 He started his career a consultant Financial Services at EY, where he supported insurers, banks, pension funds and asset managers. In search of broader development he accepted a job as a tax advisor at a boutique tax firm in Haarlem, specialized in cross-border business ventures, employment and transactions.

Daan is primarily involved with advisory that has an international component.
